When your client asks about Google, hand them this
A fixed-scope Google launch package for the websites you build: tracking done properly, the Business Profile sorted, a starter Search campaign, and a 60-day report. You refer it or resell it. We never touch the design, and the client stays yours.
The site is live. Three weeks later the client asks why the phone is quiet
Every studio knows the conversation. The build went well, the client is happy, and then the question arrives: “Should we be doing Google Ads?” or, worse, “We are not getting any leads from the new site.” Neither is the studio’s fault. Both land on the studio.
The usual answers are all a little uncomfortable. Improvise something about SEO taking time. Recommend a freelancer you have not vetted. Try to run it yourself for one client and regret it. Or say “we don’t do that” and watch the client go find someone who does everything, including websites.
This package is the fourth answer. It is a fixed piece of work with a name, a scope and a price, timed to the launch of a site you built. You hand it over the way you would hand over a photographer or a copywriter: someone you trust, who does one thing, and who is not going to try to become the client’s agency.
- TrackingGA4 and Search Console connected, call and form conversions set up and tested, so “is the site working” has an answer with numbers in it.
- ProfileGoogle Business Profile claimed, completed and matched to the site: categories, hours, services, photos, and the phone number that is actually answered.
- SearchA starter Google Search campaign built for the client’s service and area, on a budget agreed with them in writing, with negatives and conversion tracking from day one.
- ReportA written 60-day report to you and the client: what the site and the campaign produced, what it cost per lead, and a plain recommendation on whether to continue.
Delivered per site, not per month. The client decides after the report whether ongoing management is worth it; there is no automatic retainer.
From “the client asked” to a report on their desk
Designed to take almost none of your time. Two emails from you across the whole thing is typical.
1. You introduce us
One email, or send the client the answer-script page and let them come to us. Tell us it is your client and we handle the rest under the terms below.
2. One scoping call with the client
Thirty minutes to confirm the service, the area, the budget they are comfortable with and the phone number that gets answered. You are welcome on the call and not required on it.
3. Built around your launch
Tracking goes in before or at launch so nothing is lost. The Business Profile and the campaign follow. We work through whatever access you give us and never change the design.
4. The 60-day report
Written, plain, to both of you. It says what happened and what we would do next, including “stop” when that is the honest answer. Your client sees that the studio’s referral was a good one.
What each piece actually involves
Written out so you can put it in front of a client without us on the call.
Tracking that survives the launch
GA4 property and Search Console verified against the live domain. Form submissions and phone calls set up as conversions, tested with a real submission and a real call, and documented so the next person can find them. If the site launches without this, the first month of data is gone; we install before launch wherever the timeline allows.
A Business Profile that matches the site
Claimed or recovered, primary and secondary categories chosen on purpose, services and hours filled, the phone number matched to the site, photos uploaded, and the profile linked to the right landing page. For a local business this is the half of Google that the website cannot do on its own.
A starter Search campaign, not a “test”
One properly built campaign for the core service and area: exact and phrase match, a negative list from day one, ad copy written from the site you built, and conversion tracking wired before the first dollar is spent. The budget is agreed with the client in writing and does not creep.
A report a client can read without translation
Leads, cost per lead, where they came from, what the site did versus what the ads did, and one recommendation. If the honest read is that Google Ads is not the right channel for this client, the report says so and the package ends there. Nobody is sold a retainer by default.
Refer it, or put your name on it
Refer. The simplest version. You introduce the client, we scope and invoice them directly, you are copied on the report, and you receive a referral fee on every package. Nothing to manage, nothing to invoice, and the client knows exactly who is doing what.
Resell. If you would rather the client sees one supplier, you buy the package at a wholesale rate and invoice it yourself. Reporting comes to you unbranded or in your template and we stay out of sight, exactly as on our white label page. Studios that launch a site or two a month tend to end up here; studios that launch one a quarter tend to refer.
Either way the terms are the same: NDA with non-solicit before we see anything, no minimum number of packages, no commitment beyond the one in front of us. Start with one site.
- FixedOne price for the package, in writing before anything starts, the same for every studio. No hourly, no “it depends”. Ad spend is separate and paid by the client to Google.
- YoursThe client, the site, the relationship. We do not upsell your client, and if they ask us about the site we send them back to you.
- Fee or marginA referral fee on every package you introduce, or a wholesale rate if you invoice it yourself. Your choice per client, not per year.
- BlindOn the resell route, reporting is unbranded or in your template. No logo of ours, no signature of ours.
Ask for the rate sheet and we send it the same day. It is one page.
Answered plainly
You build websites. Why would we send you our client?
Because it is written down that we will not touch theirs. We build sites for our own projects, not for hire, and the NDA every studio signs with us includes a non-solicit. If a client of yours ever asks us about design, hosting or a rebuild, the answer is your name and your email address. That is the whole policy.
What does the client actually pay?
Two things, kept separate: the package fee, which is fixed and quoted in writing before we start, and their Google Ads spend, which they pay to Google directly at a budget they agree to. We do not take a percentage of spend and we do not hold their money.
Is there a retainer hiding behind this?
No. The package ends with the 60-day report and a recommendation. If the client wants ongoing management and the numbers support it, that is a separate conversation with you in it. If the recommendation is to stop, we say so.
What do you need from us?
An introduction, and access to install tracking on the site, either directly or by sending us the snippet to place. We never edit the design or the content, and we tell you before anything is added to the site so you know what is there.
Can we start with a client whose site launched months ago?
Yes. The package works the same for an existing site; the only difference is that any tracking history before we arrive is whatever was there. Most studios start with the client who is asking right now, not the next launch.
What if the client just needs SEO, not ads?
Then the report says that, and the Business Profile and tracking pieces are still the right foundation. We do organic search as well, under the same terms, and it is described on the white label page. But we do not swap a client from “ads” to “SEO retainer” without you in the room.
